IEEE PES IIUC SBC

IEEE Power and Energy Society IIUC Student Branch Chapter is one of the technical society chapters under IEEE IIUC Student Branch receiving its approval on February 18, 2021. IEEE PES IIUC SBC carries out the goals set by IEEE PES. We are dedicated to providing scientific and engineering information on electric power and energy for the betterment of society. We nurture the youngsters to be the next-generation leaders in the power sector. Since its inception, IEEE PES IIUC SBC has been working to create awareness about renewable & clean energy and help students to develop skills related to the renewable & clean energy sector. Last year, we organized more than 10 events in association with IEEE IIUC SB. In the meantime, IEEE PES IIUC SBC has won accolades for its various outstanding performances. As a result, the 𝗛𝗣𝗦𝗕𝗖𝗣 2022 award has been added to their achievement list. For which they will be receiving $343 dollar funding from IEEE Power & Energy Society Globally.

IEEE Power & Energy Society (PES) develops standards and empowers the development of technology, software, and best practices in all areas of electric power and energy including generation, transmission, distribution, and utilization to provide a reliable, resilient, safe, cost-effective, and sustainable AC and DC electricity supply system to the end-user. PES focuses on current power system infrastructures and technological advancements in energy resources, smart grids, and smart cities for the betterment of society.
